Background

Image Description

Pawsitive Attitudes Dog Training & Behavior LLC was established in 2018 and is based in Woodinville, Washington.

All services rendered take into account the unique lifestyle of each owner and their love for their pet.

I started this company because I truly love animals and the positive impact animals and people have on each other.

I hope you will trust me to help you and your dog or cat understand each other better. I can help develop two way communication between you to deepen the bond you have.

Certifications

Details about Kim's certifications are provided below.

University of Washington Applied Animal Behavior Certification

In this three-course certificate program, students study different principles of animal behavior and learn to apply this knowledge to animal care. Examine behavioral differences between animal species and how these reflect their evolution and habitat adaptation. Gain insights on evolutionary theory, learning theory and biology to provide better care for animals — particularly companion animals — and diagnose and treat a variety of behavior issues.

About me

Kim is CPDT-KA certified professional trainer, has a certification in applied animal behavior through the University of Washington-UW-AAB, is Fear Free level 1 certified, and is also certified in pet first aid and CPR. Kim has been a volunteer at Homeward Pet Adoption Center since 2016 on their behavior team working with cats and dogs. She is dedicated to continuing to learn the most modern, scientific based training methods by attending seminars, conferences, and online courses and workshops.

Kim lives in Woodinville with her husband Jeff, their dog Baxter, 4 cats: Chewy, Trixie, Aymie, and Coal, a handful of chickens, and bunny Lulu. Having always loved animals and growing up with many over the years she has found her passion helping humans have a better understanding and a deeper bond with their dogs, and even cats, through positive reinforcement training. In her spare time she likes walking nature trails with Baxter, going to Seahawks games, reading, and traveling to anyplace sunny a few times a year.
